Armada

Steven Wilson's newest book is scheduled to be released in May 2007 by Kensington Publishing Corporation. Set in the days just before the invasion of Fortress Europe, ARMADA reunites Jordan Cole, George Hardy and Rebecca Blair in the tumultuous period that sees the Allies preparing for the invasion, and countering the critical threat posed by German E-boats.

BETWEEN THE HUNTERS AND THE HUNTED

Coming late, 2005, a monumental story of a mighty battle in the North Atlantic. BETWEEN THE HUNTERS AND THE HUNTED, released by Kensington Books, takes Captain Hardy and Jordan Cole in harm's way, this time against the most dangerous vessel ever to set sail against the Royal Navy; DKM Sea Lion. Four ships will find themselves locked in a desperate battle in the North Atlantic during the summer of 1941. One will be the DKM Sea Lion, the most powerful battleship in the Western Hemisphere. One will be the mighty HMS Prince of Wales, the gallant veteran of the Bismarck fight. The remaining two boast no claim to fame or special place in the Royal Navy. HMS Prometheus is a Dido Class cruiser, a fast, lightweight warship that was a greyhound to Sea Lion's mastiff. The other is HMS Firedancer, a battered F Class destroyer that hardly seems capable of weathering North Atlantic storms, let alone the 16-inch guns of Sea Lion. In BETWEEN THE HUNTERS AND THE HUNTED, men will die, and ships will die, and the ocean waves will be the only headstones.

VOYAGE OF THE GRAY WOLVES

A PINNACLE IMPRINT FROM KENSINGTON BOOKS

VOYAGE OF THE GRAY WOLVES, a World War II action adventure novel has done what few mass-market paperback books has done: it’s sold through its initial printing in less than five months. According to Kensington Press, the novel, available now in both the domestic and overseas market, has been given the go-ahead for a second printing.

Kensington also announced rights sales for VOYAGE to a publisher in Poland. The Polish-language version of the novel will be available in 2006.

Steven M. Wilson continues to sign copies of his novel and is scheduled to appear at Fort Knox, Kentucky on 30 April, 2005; Barnes and Noble Asheville, North Carolina 7 May, 2005, and Fort Campbell, Kentucky on 28 May, 2005.

The copy-edited version of BETWEEN THE HUNTERS AND THE HUNTED was recently returned to Kensington’s editors for review as it makes its way toward a late 2005 release. Unlike Wilson’s first novel, this story takes place in 1941 and centers around the pursuit of HMS Prince of Wales, bearing Winston Churchill, by the German H-class battleship DKM Sea Lion. Several of the characters in the first book, including Captain George Hardy and his stalwart Number 1, Edwin Land, make a return appearance in this book. Lieutenant jg Jordan Cole plays a much larger role in HUNTED as he finds himself about the redoubtable Firedancer in the midst of a battle at sea.

VOYAGE OF THE GRAY WOLVES

1944: The Allies have landed in Europe, driving the Germans back in a relentless march towards Berlin. In the Nazi Command, there are those who foresee the demise of the Third Reich.

But there are others who will do anything for the sake of victory…

U-Boat Captain Guenter Kern is one of the most respected and feared commanders in the Kreigsmarine. His loyalty to his officers and crew are legendary, as is his skill as an underwater predator of enemy vessels. But even he knows that the tides have turned against Germany—until he is ordered to take a prototype new submarine on a desperate mission to the shores of England. It is a mission that could save his homeland from utter defeat—and unleash a nightmare unlike anything in the annals of war.

[D. Clayton Meadows / Of Ice and Steel.Com] Military Writers Society of America

We are an association of more than five-hundred authors, poets, and artists, drawn together by the common bond of military service. Most of our members are active duty military, retirees, or military veterans. A few are lifelong civilians who have chosen to honor our military through their writings or their art. Our only core principle is a love of the men and women who defend this nation, and a deeply personal understanding of their sacrifice and dedication.

Our skills are varied. Some of us are world class writers, with many successful books. Others write only for the eyes of their friends and families. But each of us has a tale to tell. Each of us is a part of the fabric of Freedom. These are our stories…
